Job summary

Fidelity Power Systems in Henrico, VA is seeking a Generator Load Bank Testing Operator to set up, test, and monitor electrical backup power systems using a 2-MW load bank. You will ensure generators can handle full capacity during outages, while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities include equipment setup, diagnostic testing, data logging, maintenance, and working with customers. A HS diploma and generator training are preferred; relocation and travel to client sites in

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduation from technical school or military power-generation program preferred.
• 2+ years hands-on experience with industrial generators and low/medium-voltage electrical equipment.
• Generator training certifications or EGSA certification are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up, test, and monitor electrical backup power systems using load testing equipment.
• Operate a 2-megawatt truck-mounted load bank safely and efficiently.
• Log data, generate reports, and prepare accurate quotes for repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance on standby generator systems and troubleshoot issues.
