Job summary

Atlantic Detroit Diesel Allison is seeking a Tech I–Tech II to perform maintenance, diagnostics, repair and upgrades on power generation equipment at customer locations. Expect to work on diesel and natural gas engines, generator ends, control systems, and transfer switches/circuit breakers.

Salary ranges from $27.00 to $50.00 per hour with sign-on bonuses. High school diploma or GED required; three years related experience with diesel engines and standby generators; valid driver’s license with

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED, and technical degree preferred.
At least 3 years of experience with diesel engines, standby generators, and controls.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, inspections and testing of standby generation equipment, automatic transfer switches, and diesel fire pumps.
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with generators, transfer switches, fire pumps, and industrial engines.
Make repair recommendations and identify required parts to complete.
Perform repairs on generators, transfer switches, fire pumps, and industrial engines.
Use diagnostic tools—multimeter, megohm meter, OEM software.
Maintain safety and quality standards in all work performed.
