Job summary

Basin Solutions in Tipton, Missouri is hiring a Field Service Technician to diagnose and repair diesel and natural gas generators on-site. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning work in a field-based role.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in power generation or related mechanical/electrical trades
• Experience with diesel engines or generators
• Knowledge of AC up to 600 VAC and DC fundamentals is a plus
• Ability to work independently in the field
• Valid driver's license; CDL is an asset
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on diesel and natural gas generators
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, tune-ups, repairs, and commissioning work
• Troubleshoot AC/DC electrical systems, engine controls, transfer switches, switchgear, battery chargers, block heaters, and related equipment
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately
• Operate service trucks and field equipment safely and professionally
• Participate in an after-hours emergency service rotation as required
• Represent the company professionally while working at customer sites
