Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. is seeking a Technical Support Manager - Generator (Field Outage Services) to lead engineering and field teams, coordinate outage planning, and drive service excellence across generator products.

The role oversees development of engineers, manages KPIs, budgets, and cross-functional collaboration with customers and vendors. Travel of ~25% is expected; a strong background in power generation maintenance and outages is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Minimum of seven years of related experience and/or training.
• Experience leading and developing engineering, field service, or technical personnel.
• Ability to communicate decisively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data interpretation.
• Proficiency with databases, ERP systems, and project management tools.
• Valid driver's license and passport required.

Responsibilities

• Lead workforce planning, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and development of staff.
• Oversee generator maintenance, repair, outages, and modernization; provide technical leadership.
• Forecast outages and plan resources with customers and internal teams.
• Establish standards, quality controls, NCR resolution, and field audits.
• Develop relationships with customers, vendors, and service partners.
• Provide financial oversight including budget and profitability reporting.
• Oversee Field Service outage projects under LTSA and non-LTSA contracts.
• Track and report project performance metrics to leadership.
• Travel approximately 25% or more.
