Job summary
Mitsubishi Power Americas is seeking an Engineer I, Field Outage Services to perform and support field engineering activities for turbine outages and related systems. You will work with a team to install, repair, and troubleshoot steam and gas turbines, valves, and auxiliaries while prioritizing safety and quality.
The role requires a strong engineering foundation, travel readiness, and the ability to interpret technical documents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology or equivalent experience totaling at least eight years in power plant operations or turbine maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, contracts, and work scopes.
- Strong problem solving and data interpretation skills.
- Experience using scheduling and project management tools.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates core competencies and leads field engineering tasks for turbine outage maintenance.
- Direct and assist in installation, repair, analysis, and operation of turbine equipment and auxiliaries.
- Travel extensively (≈70%) to customer sites and work extended hours during outages.
- Prepare and maintain field service documentation and reports.
- Interface with customer personnel and vendors on technical matters.
