Job summary

ERock is seeking a Factory Acceptance Testing technician to oversee testing, scheduling and yard control for our generators. The Second Shift runs from 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM, with responsibilities including standardized test procedures, data capture, and issue identification.

Candidates should have 2+ years in manufacturing or equipment testing, knowledge of generator systems, and experience with diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, production testing, or equipment testing, preferably within generator or electrical equipment environments.
• Working knowledge of generator systems, testing procedures, or performance standards.
• Experience using testing tools, diagnostic equipment, or related software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized procedures.
• Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Commitment to safety and quality compliance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform Factory Acceptance Testing on newly manufactured generator systems per approved procedures and work instructions.
• Execute startup, operational, load, and endurance tests per established procedures.
• Conduct emissions testing and ensure accurate data capture and documentation.
• Identify, document, and communicate defects or non-conformances.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, controls, instrumentation, engine, and generator issues.
• Accurately recording test results and maintaining complete test records.
• Support safe, organized test yard operations and follow safety procedures.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production and Quality during advanced troubleshooting and RCA.
• Maintain documentation and assist in root-cause investigations.
