Job summary

Ameren Missouri is seeking an electrical engineer to develop and oversee projects for generator/exciter systems across the Ameren fleet. The role requires planning maintenance, directing outages, and providing technical expertise for reliable operation.

The position emphasizes collaboration with Ameren Energy Centers, industry partners, and internal teams to implement innovative repair solutions and monitor equipment performance. A BS in EE and 5+ years of relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• 5+ years of power plant engineering/maintenance and operations experience preferred.
• Experience with maintenance and operations of generators/exciters preferred.
• Recent graduates with hands-on drive can be considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering solutions, estimates, and specifications for fleet-wide generator/exciter systems.
• Coordinate maintenance outages and projects related to generator/exciter equipment.
• Perform testing and validate models to meet regulatory requirements.
• Provide engineering support to Ameren Energy Centers and other departments.
• Interface with suppliers and industry to validate repair capabilities and services.
