Ameren Missouri is seeking an experienced engineer to develop, plan and execute projects related to generator and exciter systems across the fleet. The role combines technical leadership with hands-on problem solving in maintenance, testing and repair of electrical equipment.

You will collaborate with Ameren Energy Centers, suppliers and industry partners, evaluate new technologies, and support safety and regulatory compliance.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable engineering discipline from an accredited college or university required.
• Five or more years of power plant engineering and/or maintenance and operations experience preferred.
• Experience with maintenance and operations of generators/exciters preferred.
• Recent graduates with a desire for hands-on learning and drive to understand equipment operations will be considered.

Responsabilidades

• Develop engineering solutions, cost and schedule estimates, maintenance and repair specifications, coordination, liaison, and administrative functions related to fleet wide generator/exciter systems.
• Determine maintenance requirements and plan maintenance outages and testing; coordinate projects involving generator/exciter equipment and related systems.
• Perform testing, validate models and provide documentation to meet all generator/exciter regulatory requirements.
• Provide engineering assistance to Ameren Energy Centers and other departments on maintenance issues related to generator/exciter systems.
• Interface with industry contacts and outside corporations including suppliers and consultants on equipment issues and repair practices.
• Monitor industry trends regarding operation and maintenance of assigned equipment.
• Develop, review, and implement innovative solutions to improve generator/exciter system performance and reliability.
• Initiate and assist with special projects, studies and reports as required.
