Job summary

Ameren Missouri is seeking an experienced Engineer to design, plan and execute projects for generator and exciter systems across the Ameren fleet. You will provide technical guidance on equipment design, inspection, testing and repair, ensuring reliability and regulatory compliance.

The role involves developing cost estimates, coordinating outages, interfacing with suppliers, and applying predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or comparable engineering field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Interest in maintenance and operation of power generation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering solutions, cost and schedule estimates, maintenance and repair specifications for generator/exciter systems.
• Plan and direct maintenance outages and testing for generator/exciter equipment.
• Perform testing, validate models and document compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide engineering support to Ameren Energy Centers and other departments on maintenance issues.
• Interface with industry contacts, suppliers and consultants on equipment issues and repair practices.
• Develop relationships with suppliers and validate capabilities and repair services.
• Monitor industry trends regarding operation and maintenance of assigned equipment.
• Develop and implement innovative solutions to improve performance and reliability.
• Use predictive technologies to drive maintenance and minimize downtime.
• Prepare reports, requisitions, work orders and revise drawings as required.
