GE Vernova seeks an electrical design engineer focused on turbogenerators and rotating machinery for the U.S. market. You will perform design analyses, adapt documentation, and support manufacturing, erection, and commissioning activities.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to ensure performance, cost, and schedule targets. Requirements include a Master’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering with rotating machinery emphasis and 1 year of experience (Bachelor’s with 2 years

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Power Engineering with emphasis in Electric Power and Rotating Machinery.
• 1 year of experience required; Bachelor’s degree with 2 years experience acceptable.
• Proficiency with commercial electromagnetic packages.
• 2 years experience designing rotating electrical machinery, preferably large rotating machines.

Responsibilities

• Perform requisition electrical design activities for Turbogenerators, meeting schedules and cost objectives.
• Adaptation of electrical standard documentation to project specifics.
• Design analysis for electrical, electromagnetic, thermal and ventilation aspects.
• Support manufacturing, sourcing, erection and commissioning activities as required.
• Interface with other design groups to ensure generator homogeneity.
• Support cost-out, cycle reduction, and quality projects.
• Respond to customer/site questions and analyze client specs.
• Participate in tests and measurements at test stations and power plants.
• Supervise tools for calculating electrical machines for configuration needs.
• Provide technical support for offers, sales, and project management.
