Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related STEM field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Additional 1-2 years of relevant engineering experience is a plus.
• Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline is desirable.
• Proficiency in engineering software (ANSYS, NX) and programming (Python, Excel VBA).
• Lean mindset and collaborative problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design & Analysis: Execute mechanical design and analysis (stress, modal, lifing) for gas turbine components and accessories.
• Technical Stewardship: Own hardware, perform validation testing, assess thermal growth, manufacturing variation, and stack‑up.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and sourcing teams to optimize subsystems.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead RCA, apply Lean principles to improve reliability, quality, and yield.
• Project Delivery: Manage milestones through technical reviews and NPIs.
• Mentorship: Coach teammates and engage stakeholders, including Principal and Chief Engineers.
