Job summary

GE Vernova seeks an Engineer in Generator Electrical Design to lead electrical design activities in projects supporting R&D, Tendering and Requisition Engineering. This role requires strong collaboration with cross‑functional teams and an ability to manage design analyses for electrical, electromagnetic, thermal and ventilation aspects.

Responsibilities include design leadership, documentation adaptation to project needs, and support across manufacturing, sourcing, erection and commissioning

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Power Engineering with emphasis in Electric Power and Rotating Machinery and 1 year of experience (Bachelor's degree with 2 years).
• Proficiency with commercial electromagnetic packages.
• 2 years of experience in designing rotating electrical machinery, preferably large rotating machines.
• Strong English communication; second language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design activities for turbogenerators to meet schedules and cost objectives.
• Adapt electrical standard documentation to project requirements.
• Perform design analysis for electrical, electromagnetic, thermal and ventilation aspects.
• Support manufacturing, sourcing, erection and commissioning as required.
• Interface with other design groups and contribute to cost-out and quality improvements.
• Respond to customer and site questions, analyze client specifications and test data.
