Job summary

Apple in Cupertino is seeking an experienced software engineer to join a newly formed team that partners with the design studio and AI teams to invent generative UI paradigms. You will help set technical direction, shape the team's culture, and establish the engineering bar across Apple-scale projects.

The role blends interface craft—layout, motion, responsiveness—and building the runtime that decides what to generate, productizing execution, and hardening security.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Expert-level Swift, with production SwiftUI (or comparable declarative UI).
• Led an application or framework end to end, including its public API and its adopters.
• Hands-on experience building user-facing features with generative models (shipped or prototyped).
• Experience setting technical direction across teams and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with Apple's design studio and AI teams to invent this paradigm.
• Set the technical direction, shape the team's culture, and establish the bar for our engineering.
• Balance interface craft (layout, motion, responsiveness) with building the system that generates interfaces at runtime.
• Productize the execution runtime and harden the security boundary around it.
• Drive generation quality through prompt iteration, automated evaluation, and output validation; design UI frameworks.
