Job summary

Apple is seeking a Software Engineer in Cupertino to design and build agentic intelligence features for our professional creative applications. You’ll translate frontier AI capabilities into practical tooling that complements creators’ vision.

Collaborate with designers, ML engineers, and product teams to ship production-ready capabilities while balancing rapid prototyping and quality across iOS/macOS platforms.

Qualifications

• 2+ years developing and shipping production-quality code.
• Proficiency in a modern programming language (Swift, Objective-C, or similar) and a willingness to work across the app stack.
• A strong product sense and curiosity about creative workflows.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and to communicate clearly across disciplines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent depth through professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the capabilities that bring agentic assistance to Apple’s creative applications: the harness, tooling, and skills that help users translate intent and curiosity into action and insight.
• Balance rapid prototyping of new user experiences with maturing ideas into production-ready capability. Iterate from a rough demo to reliable shipping quality.
• Partner with designers, ML engineers, the teams behind our creative apps, and creative-domain experts to shape both the capability and the experience.
• Help establish and define what it means to develop quality software in an evolving landscape of human/machine teaming.
