Job summary

Blacksmith Agency LLC is seeking a Generative AI Engineer to own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This builder role focuses on production systems atop LLMs, not research, and you will work directly with engineering leadership to turn a documented roadmap into tangible automation.

You will build agentic workflows, integrate with OpenAI and Anthropic APIs, and create internal tools that cut manual hours across our design and development processes. Remote, LATAM and SA regions welcome.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).

Responsibilities

• Own and ship internal automation roadmaps and production systems on top of LLMs.
• Build agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.
• Integrate with OpenAI/Anthropic APIs and manage tool calling and streaming.
• Develop internal tools to reduce manual hours across design and development processes.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is building an AI automation layer into every part of how we work. As Generative AI Engineer at Blacksmith, you own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This is a builder role, not a research role. You will not be training models, you will be building production systems on top of them.

You work directly with engineering and delivery leadership to take a documented roadmap of automation workflows and turn them into shipped, working systems. This role is for someone who has already built things with LLMs and can show it.

What You Will Build

• Agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.
• Integrations with Anthropic and OpenAI APIs including tool use and function calling.
• Internal tools that reduce manual hours across our design and development production process.
• Automation pipelines connecting WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and our internal CMS.
• MCP server integrations as part of our broader AI stack.

What You Bring

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US-based team.
