Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is hiring an AI Engineer to own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This builder role focuses on turning documented automation workflows into shipped systems without doing model training.

You will work with engineering and delivery leadership to implement AI-assisted WordPress development, content generation, and agentic pipelines, building production systems on top of LLMs. Prior hands-on work with LangChain and related tools is required.

Qualifications

2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
Solid version control habits.
English proficiency sufficient for async written communication with a US-based team.

Responsibilities

Own and ship the internal automation roadmap; build production systems on top of LLMs.
Collaborate with engineering and delivery leadership to turn documented automation workflows into shipped, working systems.
Work on agentic pipelines and AI-assisted WordPress development, content generation, and related automation tasks.
Demonstrate prior hands-on implementations of LLM-powered automation.
