Job summary

Cardinal Health seeks an AI/ML Engineer to partner with product managers, software and data engineers, and business stakeholders. You will design and deliver enterprise-scale Generative AI solutions, including LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, and automation workflows, across the full lifecycle from prototyping to deployment.

The role requires strong software engineering fundamentals, expertise in modern AI technologies, and cloud-native app development.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years in Software Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, AI Engineering, or related fields preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, AI, or related discipline; equivalent experience considered.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experienced developing production-grade applications.
• Experience building REST APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or similar technologies.
• Experience working within Agile and SDLC frameworks.
• Experience using GitHub and CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, GitLab, AzureDevOps, Jenkins, Harness, etc.).
• Experience containerizing applications using Docker.
• Experienced deploying and managing workloads on Kubernetes platforms (GKE, AKS, EKS, OpenShift, etc.).
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure, or AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver enterprise-scale Generative AI solutions in collaboration with product and engineering teams.
• Hands-on development of AI-powered applications, including LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, and AI workflows.
• Transform business problems into scalable AI solutions and production-grade ML systems.
• Ensure AI solutions are secure, reliable, and measurable across environments.
• Manage full lifecycle from experimentation to deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
