Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to partner across product, software, data, and business stakeholders to build enterprise-scale Generative AI solutions. You will develop AI-powered applications, including LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, and automation workflows.

The ideal candidate blends strong software engineering with modern AI techniques and cloud-native development, delivering production-grade ML systems and secure, measurable solutions across the full AI product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of experience in Software Engineering, ML/AI Engineering, or related fields preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, AI, or related discipline; equivalent experience considered.
• Strong proficiency in Python and developing production-grade applications.
• Experience building REST APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or similar technologies.
• Experience working within Agile and SDLC frameworks.
• Experience using GitHub and CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Harness, etc.).
• Experience containerizing applications using Docker.
• Experienced deploying and managing workloads on Kubernetes platforms (GKE, AKS, EKS, OpenShift, etc.).
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure, or AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver enterprise-scale Generative AI solutions in collaboration with product and engineering teams.
• Hands-on development of AI-powered applications, including LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, and automation workflows.
• Build production-grade ML systems and integrate AI capabilities into enterprise platforms.
• Ensure solutions are secure, reliable, and measurable across the full lifecycle from prototyping to deployment.
• Translate business problems into scalable AI solutions and monitor performance and adoption.
