Job summary

FirstEnergy seeks a Manager, Generation Project Development – Maidsville to support strategy, planning, outreach, management, and execution of large-scale power generation projects. Located in Akron, OH, the role leads or supports site evaluation, permitting, environmental, interconnection, and land rights activities.

You will manage contracts, budget, and schedule while coordinating procurement and project controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business with 7 years of relevant experience; in lieu of degree, 10 years of relevant experience accepted.
• PE license and leadership/ generation experience preferred.
• Must embrace safety culture and maintain safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support site evaluation, permitting, and interconnection assessments.
• Manage project schedule, budget, and contracts; coordinate procurement and controls.
• Guide cross-functional teams across construction, operations, supply chain, and finance.
