Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (MLS) to join our team at Ascension SE Wisconsin Hospital - Franklin in Franklin, WI. This is a part-time role with flexible hours, 1st shift and every third weekend rotation, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM.

You will determine specimen acceptability, perform routine and complex testing, monitor instruments, and ensure accurate, timely results.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science or MLS degree.
1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree.
ASCP or AMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental SOPs.
Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
Demonstrate ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
Identify and replenish testing bench supplies; assist with processing of specimens as needed.
Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE.
