Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (MLS) to join our team at Ascension SE Wisconsin Hospital - St. Joseph Campus in Milwaukee, WI. 2nd shift: 1:30pm - 11:30pm on weekdays with rotating weekends/holidays.

A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for external applicants. The role involves analyzing specimens, operating lab instruments, and delivering accurate test results to support patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology.
• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; flexibility to work overtime or other shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results for quality patient care.
• Perform preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE.
