Job summary

AllThrive 365 in Phoenix is seeking a Generalist, Human Resources (Employee Onboarding) to lead recruitment and onboarding, including pre-hire documentation and compliance across the employee lifecycle.

You will manage pre-hire verification, background checks, and onboarding; handle employee relations and performance processes within ADP HRIS; collaborate on development initiatives and process improvements with confidentiality and integrity.

Qualifications

  • Associates’ degree or equivalent; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of three years HR experience in roles as a specialist or generalist
  • Strong working knowledge of federal employment laws and state laws
  • Previous experience with HRIS
  • Clear three-tier background clearance process

Responsibilities

  • Lead the new hire onboarding process, ensuring all required pre-hire documentation, background checks, clearances, employment forms, and compliance requirements are completed accurately and timely prior to the employee’s start date.
  • Manage pre-hire document collection and verification, maintaining accurate employee records and following established compliance and documentation requirements.
  • Serve as an HR partner to managers and employees, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, employee relations, performance, and workplace concerns.
  • Conduct and/or support employee relations matters and workplace investigations, including gathering information, interviewing involved parties, documenting findings, and recommending appropriate actions.
  • Manage the organization’s annual performance evaluation process within ADP, including system setup, timelines, communications, manager support, tracking completion, and reporting.
  • Administer and maintain assigned HR programs and processes throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, transfers, promotions, performance management, leaves, corrective action, and offboarding.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HRIS data, ensuring information is complete, current, and compliant with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with managers on performance management, coaching, corrective action, employee development, and workplace issues, providing consistent and practical HR guidance.
  • Partner with leadership, Payroll, and other internal stakeholders on HR initiatives, process improvements, employee communications, and special projects.

Position Summary

The Human Resources Generalist serves as a strategic and operational partner to leaders and employees, managing key areas of the employee lifecycle and supporting a positive, compliant workplace. This position leads the recruitment and onboarding process, including pre-hire documentation and compliance requirements; provides guidance and support related to employee relations and workplace investigations; manages performance management and talent review processes within the ADP HRIS; and interprets and applies organizational policies and employment practices. The Generalist also partners with leadership on employee development, organizational initiatives, and process improvements while ensuring consistent, accurate, and confidential delivery of HR services.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ADP, Workday, or a similar HRIS platform, with demonstrated experience administering employee data, onboarding, performance management, talent review, reporting, and/or other HR processes within an HRIS.
  • Experience managing electronic onboarding and pre-employment documentation within an HRIS or applicant tracking system preferred.
  • Experience supporting employee relations and workplace investigations preferred.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong written, verbal, listening, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong conflict facilitation and employee relations skills.
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong proficiency with HRIS systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and appropriately safeguard sensitive information.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to gather, organize, analyze, and synthesize information to identify solutions.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

  • Requires extended periods of sitting, with occasional standing and walking.
