Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking a General Welder for 1st shift (Transformers). The role operates various welding equipment for transformer assembly lines, including low voltage welding and robotic welding.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of assembly experience, and 1 year welding in manufacturing or a 1-year welding diploma. US work eligibility is required; relocation benefits are not included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of assembly experience.
• Minimum 1 year welding in manufacturing OR completion of a 1-year welding diploma.
• US work eligibility without sponsorship; relocation benefits not included; proximity within 50 miles of Waukesha, WI.

Responsibilities

• Operate welding equipment including plasma arc torch, TIG, MIG, robotic MIG welder, grinders and drills.
• Read from basic prints, computer readouts, and instructions; use judgment when prints are unavailable.
• Operate material handling equipment like cranes and hand trucks as needed.
• Place weld-on and bolt-on covers and perform pressure testing with air/soap.
• Perform welding of aluminum, copper, and stainless/mild steel covers.
• Work in Transformer assembly positions as required.
