Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a General Surgery Physician for locum tenens coverage in the Phoenix, AZ area. Start date ASAP with variable weekday shifts, typically 10-hour days, including weekend and 24-hour call coverage. The provider will handle outpatient clinic, OR, and endoscopy coverage with mix of inpatient/outpatient cases, including breast surgery experience.

Board certified or board eligible, ACLS, and BLS are required. Credentialing typically takes 45–60 days, and RPMS is the EMR.

Qualifications

• Experience with general surgery cases including breast surgery.
• Ability to work in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Locum tenens experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cover outpatient clinic, operating room, and endoscopy as needed.
• Provide 24-hour call coverage as required.
• Work with flexible weekday shifts and weekend coverage.

This facility is seeking a General Surgery Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity

• Schedule: Variable weekday shifts, typically 10-hour shifts, for outpatient clinic, operating room, or endoscopy coverage (weekday, weekend, and 24-hour call is required)
• Practice Setting: Mix of both inpatient and outpatient
• Types of Cases: General surgery cases (provider must have experience with Breast Surgery)
• Credentialing Timeframe: 45 – 60 days
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): RPMS
• Certifications Required: Board Certified or Board Eligible, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and a Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Licensure Required: Any active unrestricted state license
