Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a General Surgery Physician for locum tenens coverage in the Phoenix area. Shifts include weekday, weekend, and 24-hour on-call coverage with typical 10-hour blocks in outpatient clinics, operating rooms, or endoscopy suites.

The candidate should be board certified or eligible, with ACLS and BLS, and hold an active unrestricted medical license. Credentialing typically takes 45–60 days; RPMS is the EMR in use.

This facility is seeking a General Surgery Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

• Schedule: Variable weekday shifts, typically 10-hour shifts, for outpatient clinic, operating room, or endoscopy coverage (weekday, weekend, and 24-hour call is required)
• Practice Setting: Mix of both inpatient and outpatient
• Types of Cases: General surgery cases (provider must have experience with Breast Surgery)
• Credentialing Timeframe: 45 - 60 days
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): RPMS
• Certifications Required: Board Certified or Board Eligible, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and a Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Licensure Required: Any active unrestricted state license
