Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a General Surgery physician for locum tenens coverage in Phoenix, AZ. The position involves variable weekday shifts, typically 10-hour increments, with opportunities in outpatient clinic, operating room, or endoscopy settings and 24-hour on-call duties.

The provider will work in a mix of inpatient and outpatient care, with breast surgery experience preferred. Credentialing typically takes 45–60 days, and RPMS is the EMR used for charting.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.
• Active unrestricted medical license.
• 45–60 days credentialing timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Provide general surgery coverage for outpatient clinic, OR, or endoscopy.
• Work a variable schedule including weekdays, weekends, and on-call shifts.
• Deliver care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Experience with breast surgery procedures preferred.

This facility is seeking a General Surgery Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

• Schedule: Variable weekday shifts, typically 10-hour shifts, for outpatient clinic, operating room, or endoscopy coverage (weekday, weekend, and 24-hour call is required)
• Practice Setting: Mix of both inpatient and outpatient
• Types of Cases: General surgery cases (provider must have experience with Breast Surgery)
• Credentialing Timeframe: 45 - 60 days
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): RPMS
• Certifications Required: Board Certified or Board Eligible, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and a Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Licensure Required: Any active unrestricted state license
