Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a General Surgery Physician for locum tenens support in Phoenix, AZ. The assignment includes outpatient clinic, operating room and endoscopy coverage with variable weekday shifts, typically 10-hour days, plus weekend and 24-hour call.

Ideal candidates are Board Certified or Board Eligible, with ACLS and BLS, and hold an active unrestricted license. RPMS EMR experience is required; credentialing typically takes 45–60 days.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Active unrestricted state medical license.
• Experience with breast surgery procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide general surgery coverage in outpatient, OR and endoscopy settings.
• Support variable weekday shifts with weekend and call obligations.
• Participate in inpatient and outpatient general surgery cases.

This facility is seeking a General Surgery Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

• Schedule: Variable weekday shifts, typically 10-hour shifts, for outpatient clinic, operating room, or endoscopy coverage (weekday, weekend, and 24-hour call is required)
• Practice Setting: Mix of both inpatient and outpatient
• Types of Cases: General surgery cases (provider must have experience with Breast Surgery)
• Credentialing Timeframe: 45 - 60 days
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): RPMS
• Certifications Required: Board Certified or Board Eligible, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and a Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Licensure Required: Any active unrestricted state license
