Job summary

AMN Healthcare seeks a General Surgery physician for locum tenens coverage in Colorado. The role involves on-call duties, both general and trauma surgery, at a Level III trauma center with inpatient cases.

Schedule includes 12–14 days of 24-hour call per month, with mostly weekend coverage. Colorado license or IMLC accepted; requires Board certification/eligibility in General Surgery and BLS/ACLS/PALS/ATLS; Epic EMR used for charting.

Qualifications

• MD degree required with board eligibility/board certification in General Surgery.
• active Colorado medical license or IMLC accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide general and trauma surgery on-call coverage.
• Manage inpatient trauma cases in a Level III trauma center.
• Work 12–14 days of 24-hour call per month, primarily on weekends.

- $This facility is seeking a General Surgery Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Schedule: 12-14 days of 24-hour call c overage per month, mostly weekend (Thurday/Friday-Sunday/Monday) coverage will be needed.

Job Setting:Inpatient, Trauma Level III, Adult/Geriatrics

Types of Cases: Need to be comfortable taking general and trauma surgery call.

Credentialing Timeframe: Up to 45-60 days

License required: Must have an active Colorado license, but will accept Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)

Certifications required: Board Eligible/Board Certified in General Surgery (Board Eligible

with in 3 years of training), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)

EMR: Epic with voice recognition
