We are seeking a General Surgeon for a short-term locum opportunity at a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital in Colorado. This role offers flexibility and a quick credentialing process to ensure a smooth transition!

Highlights

Practice Setting

• Join a Critical Access Hospital with 25 beds
• 2 operating rooms and 1 endoscopy room
  • No ICU, only general care

Schedule

• Daytime clinic and surgery
  • Nighttime call includes 24-hour coverage
  • Average of 2-3 calls per shift; 1-2 emergent surgeries per month

Procedures and Cases

• Upper and Lower Endoscopy (screening & diagnostic), Appendectomy (laparoscopic & open), and Cholecystectomy (laparoscopic & open)
• Hernia Repair (inguinal, ventral, incisional) and Colon Resection
• Exploratory Laparotomy and other general surgery procedures

Requirements

• Board Certified in General Surgery
• ACLS, BLS, and ATLS certification
• Colorado State License required

• Facility located 2 hours from Pueblo, CO and 2.5 hours from Colorado Springs, CO
