Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA-recognized Physician Assistant training program accredited by ARC-PA.

Responsibilities

• Write admission orders and take detailed histories and physicals on general surgery & trauma patients.
• First assist in the operating room for general surgery coverage and subspecialties.
• Perform daily rounds and follow up on patients and consults with exams and diagnostics.
• Perform procedures such as phlebotomy, chest tube management, pleurovacs, drains, tubes, NGT/FOLEY placements.
• Provide patient education and contribute to teaching residents, fellows, nurses and students.
• Respond to nursing pages as the primary clinician for patient care and safety.
