Job summary

South Shore Health System in Weymouth, MA seeks a Physician Assistant to support the Urology service. Under medical direction, the PA evaluates, treats and manages urology patients, performing histories, exams and procedures as an on‑site member of the general surgery team.

This part‑time daytime role requires ACLS, MA PA licensure, and AMA‑accredited PA training. The PA will write orders, participate in rounds, assist in the OR, and contribute to safety, documentation and quality programs.

Qualifications

• ACLS required.
• Graduate of AMA-recognized Physician Assistant training program; accredited by ARC-PA.

Responsibilities

• Write admission orders and perform histories and physicals on urology patients.
• First assist in the operating room for urology surgery coverage and other subspecialties.
• Perform daily patient rounds and follow-up on all patients and consults.
• Perform BLS and ACLS measures as needed.
• Be the primary responding clinician receiving pages from nursing staff regarding patient care.
• Write and sign progress notes and discharge/transfers in medical records.
