Community Health Systems, Inc. is hiring a Medical Assistant to support patient care under a medical provider's supervision.

You will assist with procedures, maintain exam rooms, handle patient intake, and help ensure smooth clinic operations with excellent service to patients and staff. The role requires completing an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred) and 0-1 years of experience or externship.

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school preferred
• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program required

Responsabilités

• Assist providers with non-invasive procedures, such as taking vital signs.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms before patient visits and clinical procedures.
• Handle patient intake duties, including reporting test results, phone triage, and documenting medical information as directed by licensed personnel or providers.
• Review and maintain daily logs and documentation.
• Support administrative duties, including pre-registering patients, scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, verifying insurance eligibility, and managing clinic communications.
• Maintain an organized workload while providing prompt, courteous, and efficient service to providers, patients, and visitors.
• Monitor and requisition supplies and equipment to ensure appropriate inventory levels and functionality.
• Educate patients on medications, diets, and other health-related topics, addressing questions to ensure understanding.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
