Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to support patient care under supervision.

You will assist with procedures, prepare exam rooms, handle patient intake, and help maintain efficient clinic operations while delivering excellent service to patients and staff. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, prepping rooms, managing referrals and scheduling, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school preferred.
• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship required.
• BCLS certification required or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with non-invasive procedures (vital signs, exam prep).
• Prepare and clean exam rooms before patient visits and procedures.
• Handle patient intake duties including reporting test results and triage calls.
• Review daily logs and maintain documentation.
• Support administrative duties: pre-registering patients, scheduling, referrals, eligibility verification, and clinic communications.
• Maintain organized workload and provide prompt, courteous service to patients and staff.
• Monitor supplies and equipment to ensure inventory and functionality.
• Educate patients on medications and health topics.
