Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care under the supervision of a medical provider.

You will assist with procedures, maintain exam rooms, manage patient intake, and help ensure efficient clinic operations while delivering excellent service to patients and staff. The role requires completing an accredited Medical Assistant program with 0-1 years in a medical setting or an externship.

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school preferred.
• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program required.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with non-invasive medical procedures and take vital signs.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms before visits and procedures.
• Conduct patient intake, report test results, triage calls, and document medical information.
• Review and maintain daily logs and documentation.
• Support administrative duties including pre-registration, scheduling, referrals, insurance verification, and clinic communications.
• Maintain organized workload and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Monitor and requisition supplies to ensure inventory levels.
• Educate patients on medications, diets, and health topics.
