Pediatric General Surgery Coder – Remote (Contract-to-Hire)

Schedule:

• Required Hours: 7:00/8:00 AM – 4:30/5:00 PM PST (Arizona is currently on PST)

Role & Responsibilities:

• Coding pediatric charts: Pediatrics General Surgery, Nuss Procedures, GI surgeries, Trauma, colonoscopy, Very involved surgery and complex surgery.
• Critical care experience is a major plus
• Use Allscripts & Optum Encoder Pro
• Remote, personal equipment required

Requirements:

• Certifications: AAPC or AHIMA (required)
• Experience: Pediatric coding experience must be clear on resume
• Accuracy: 95% expected; productivity metrics provided later
• Training: Initial days with Supervisor, weekly 1:1s, chart reviews before release
