Responsibilities
The University of South Alabama Health System aims to improve lives through excellence in education, research, and medical care. USA Health University Hospital is the region's only Level I trauma center. Our system offers advanced patient care and top-tier training for future physicians and scientists. We serve a catchment area of 1 million people and have a strong hepatology and gastroenterology practice, including dedicated hepatology, advanced endoscopy, and 24/7 interventional radiology.
The Department of Surgery seeks a Board Certified/Eligible General Surgeon interested in minimally invasive surgery at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The candidate should have a strong interest in academic surgery, patient care, medical education, and research. Responsibilities include teaching general surgery residents, medical students, and advanced practitioners.
