Job summary

Ascension Elmbrook Hospital in Brookfield, WI is seeking a physician to deliver high‑quality clinical care. The role includes robotic‑assisted procedures using the DV5 Robot and Da Vinci System, with a collaborative team of four surgeons and two Advanced Practice Providers.

Physicians will handle inpatient and outpatient needs, participate in discharge planning, and support medical education and research initiatives within a leading Catholic health system.

Qualifications

• MD/DO credentialed from the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice or Wisconsin Medical Examining Board prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Advanced Life Support certification preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a balanced, 1:5 call schedule for work‑life harmony.
• Utilize state‑of‑the‑art technology, including DV5 Robot and Da Vinci System, for robotic‑assisted procedures.
• Collaborate with a four‑surgeon, two‑AP‑provider team to deliver care.
• Provide comprehensive care with a dedicated weight loss support team.
• Evaluate and treat patients using expert diagnostic and surgical skills.
• Admit, attend, or consult, coordinating inpatient and outpatient needs and referrals.

• Partner closely with case management to coordinate thorough discharge planning and smooth patient transitions.
• Drive continuous clinical excellence and cost‑effective care through quality improvement initiatives.
• Engage in academic enrichment, including medical education and research initiatives as requested.
• Maintain thorough documentation adhering to insurance standards, managing timely appeal processes to safeguard patient access.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • One or more of the following:
  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Preferred Credential(s):
  • Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
