Job summary

RK Industries in Abilene, TX seeks a General Superintendent - Sheet Metal to lead large field projects and direct field teams. You will translate project strategy into execution, manage labor planning, scheduling, prefabrication workflows, safety, and quality across mechanical and plumbing scopes.

You will mentor Superintendents, Foremen, and craft professionals, collaborating with Project Management and Operations to optimize productivity and build a culture of accountability and craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive mechanical, plumbing, or industrial construction experience.
• Sheet metal experience.
• Proven success leading complex projects, multiple crews, and field leaders.
• Deep expertise in labor planning, scheduling, productivity, quality, cost, and project execution.
• Strong judgment and the ability to make decisions in fast-moving environments.
• A track record of developing people and building accountable teams.

Responsibilities

• Own field execution from preconstruction and mobilization through commissioning and turnover
• Turn project strategy into action across labor, schedule, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
• Lead and develop Superintendents, Foremen, and high-performing craft teams
• Partner with Project Management and Operations to solve problems before they impact the field
• Leverage prefabrication, technology, and planning to improve productivity and execution
• Set the standard for safety, quality, accountability, and craftsmanship
• Build trusted relationships with customers, GCs, inspectors, vendors, and trade partners
