General Superintendent: Broward County, Florida

Our client is currently seeking a top-notch general construction superintendent with the experience to oversee all phases of construction projects from initial planning to completion.

This person will be responsible for overseeing all field operations, including training, hiring, and development.

What You Will Be Doing

• Serving as a timekeeper or approving timecards for payroll, preparing work schedules, and approving time off requests by workers.
• Supervising the physical construction of the project in strict accordance with contract documents, including:
• Verification of safety compliance with all trades
• Maintenance and planning of reports
• Workarounds
• Shutdowns and tie-ins
• Resolution of jurisdictional disputes
• Enforcement of safety and quality-control policies
• Direction and daily coordination of trades
• Managing the project schedule
• Maintaining satisfactory relationships with owners, subcontractors, unions, etc.
• Working closely with our team to improve the overall experience for clients and employees.

What You Will Need to Win

• 2-5 years of experience required
• High-rise experience and/or large projects in multiple sectors
• Proven knowledge of communicating site rules and safety procedures to new hires, maintaining this throughout the project
• Experience coordinating activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers
