Role Summary

The General Superintendent will develop and execute project plans, overseeing all aspects of complex projects. Responsibilities include managing teams, planning construction sequencing, and ensuring project goals align with JE Dunn's strategy, vision, and values.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core

• Lead safety culture, promote injury-free environment, investigate incidents, and retrain staff as needed.
• Manage subcontractors and organize overall job workflow.
• Oversee staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and programs like Safety, Quality, and EEOC on projects.
• Develop work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinate project site management and lead project meetings.
• Manage project schedule, budget, and costs, and communicate key information to stakeholders.
• Ensure documentation and quality standards are maintained.
• Support project closeouts and understand project pursuit processes.
• Participate in staffing, scheduling, change management, and negotiations.
• Recruit top talent and promote diversity and inclusion.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, project management, scheduling software, and construction technology.
• Deep knowledge of construction processes, trades, self-perform work, and budget management.
• Ability to apply Lean principles and understand document changes and impacts.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred; relevant experience considered.
• 12+ years construction experience, including 10+ years in field supervision.
• Experience with Lean principles is a plus.
