The General Superintendent provides overall leadership for field operations and project execution.

Responsibilities

1. Monitor projects for schedule conformance, quality, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
2. Develop relationships with clients and architects to ensure client satisfaction.
3. Recruit, mentor, and train qualified talent including Superintendents, Field Engineers, and Co-ops.
4. Lead and advise field staff on materials, sequencing, scheduling, personnel, and construction methods.
5. Support Field Operations and participate in business development activities.
6. Engage in pre-construction activities such as reviews, planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
7. Implement all company policies during construction, oversee site visits, safety, and quality standards.
8. Manage client relationships, attend meetings, and maintain effective communication.
9. Coordinate field training and ensure staff meet safety and operational standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in Civil/Roadway Construction; VDOT, NCDOT, or MSHA experience preferred.
• Relevant licenses and certifications.
• Strong multi-tasking, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions

Primarily office-based with site visits. Requires sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and vision capabilities. Moderate noise levels expected.

Compensation: $110,000 - $140,000 annually
