Job summary

Loews Sapphire Falls Resort in Orlando, FL is seeking a Storeroom Manager to oversee storage, inventory, and receiving of supplies, equipment, and perishable items across the property. You will ensure stock levels are accurate, organized, and replenished to support daily operations.

You will lead a small team, enforce inventory control procedures, monitor par levels, coordinate with purchasing, and ensure proper storage and food safety sanitation.

Qualifications

  • Prior supervisory experience in hotel procurement and storeroom management.
  • Knowledge of meat/produce/grocery specifications and standard grading classifications.
  • Working knowledge of inventory control software and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to operate storeroom equipment such as pallet jack and forklift.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Leads receiving and storeroom activities and team to ensure adherence to procedures and security of all materials.
  • Ensures timely completion of receiving reports and documentation transmission.
  • Records discrepancies to facilitate credits or replacements.
  • Maintains organized purchase order and receiving documentation files.
  • Oversees proper storage, refrigeration of perishables, and stock rotation.
  • Ensures requisition procedures are followed for all materials and supplies.
  • Maintains liquor storeroom inventory and accurate pricing on requisitions.
  • Monitors par levels and places requisitions when needed.
  • Ensures storeroom cleanliness and compliance with food safety standards.
  • Coordinates shipping, receipt, storage and delivery of packages.

The Storeroom Manager is responsible for the oversight of the storage and inventory of supplies, equipment, and food and beverage items used throughout the hotel. They ensure that stock levels are maintained, organized, and replenished as needed to support daily operations. The manager also tracks deliveries, inspects incoming goods for quality and accuracy, and ensures proper storage conditions. Additionally, they enforce inventory control procedures to minimize waste, loss, or theft.

What You Will Do
  • Leads receiving and storeroom activities and team to ensure adherence to accepted procedures, receipt of materials and supplies as specified on purchase order documents and security of all materials placed in storage
  • Ensures accurate, timely completion of computerized receiving reports and transmittal of receiving documentation
  • Records and reports any receiving related discrepancies, to facilitate request for credit or replacement or damaged or discrepant goods
  • Maintains organized purchase order and receiving documentation files
  • Oversees proper storage of materials and supplies received, ensures appropriate refrigeration of perishable items, and proper placement and rotation of stock to prevent loss due to deterioration of product quality while in storage
  • Ensures established requisition procedures are followed for all materials and supplies leaving storeroom
  • Ensures respective prices are indicated on requisitions for all items issued
  • Ensures proper maintenance of liquor storeroom perpetual inventory
  • Monitors par levels for items in inventory; places requisition in purchasing/requisition system when levels reach reorder point
  • Ensures storeroom cleanliness and adherence to all food safety sanitation requirements
  • Supervises/performs daily, monthly, quarterly annual inventories
  • Coordinates shipping, receipt, storage and delivery of packages delivered via common carrier
Your Experience Includes
  • 1 - 2 years of prior supervisory experience in hotel procurement and receiving and/or storeroom management required
  • Thorough knowledge of meat/produce/grocery specifications and standard grading classifications required
  • Working knowledge of computer software to include inventory control, Microsoft Office required
  • Ability to operate basic storeroom equipment with training, such as, a pallet jack and forklift required
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
