Job summary

Main Street Auto in Conover, NC is seeking a skilled General Tire and Lube Technician to join our shop. You will perform tire rotations, oil changes, inspections and component checks to keep vehicles safe and customers satisfied.

This full-time role offers a stable 8-hour shift with no weekends, opportunities for growth, and a supportive team environment; prior tire and lube experience is preferred, along with strong mechanical aptitude and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous tire and lube technician experience preferred.
• Knowledge of tire installation, oil changes, and basic vehicle inspections.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire rotations, installations and repairs with precision.
• Conduct oil changes, filter replacements and fluid checks.

Responsibilities:

• Perform tire rotations, installations, and repairs with precision and efficiency

• Conduct wheel alignments and balance tires to promote even tread wear and vehicle stability

• Assist customers with tire recommendations, answering inquiries, and providing outstanding customer service
• Adhere to company safety protocols and guidelines while working in a shop environment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a tire and lube technician or similar role preferred
• Proficient knowledge of tire installation, repair techniques, and oil change procedures
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to operate shop equipment and tools safely
