Job summary

Purcell Tire and Service Centers is seeking a full-time General Service Technician in Kentucky to provide exceptional value by performing routine automotive maintenance and tire services in a safety-focused environment.

You will pull vehicles, inspect and perform basic maintenance, change oil and filters, and handle parts pick-up and delivery while upholding Purcell’s standards for safe, quality work the first time.

Qualifications

• Background and drug screen required
• Valid driver’s license required
• 3-year clean MVR; no DUIs and no more than 2 moving violations
• 1 year related work experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Pull customer vehicles in and out of the shop
• Perform vehicle inspections and basic maintenance repairs
• Perform lube/oil service; inspect, fill or change oil, replace filters
• Perform tire maintenance; mount, balance, rotate, repair and replace tires/wheels
• Replace air, oil, cabin, and fuel filters
• Pick-up and delivery of parts, tires, and customers
• Look for opportunities to improve our products and services
• Other essential and non-essential duties as assigned by management

Purcell Tire tests for the presence of THC in all drug screenings for this position, due to the safety-sensitive nature of the job and the potential for injury or death when a tire is installed improperly, or a safety-related mechanical issue is not properly conveyed to a customer. It is a bona fide occupational qualification for service technicians to be unimpaired, so the Company will continue testing for THC and other drugs under the safety-sensitive exceptions allowed by your state.
