Job summary

Purcell Tire Company is seeking an Outside Commercial Tire Tech in Tucson, AZ. You will perform tire and wheel replacements, dismount wheels, and balance/rotate tires as part of the Purcell Way—Safe, Quality Work, On Time, The First Time.

The position offers hourly pay ranging from $22 to $40, service vehicle with fuel card, performance incentives/bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package. PTO after 90 days and 401k with company match are included.

Qualifications

• 6 months commercial tire experience required.
• Valid driver’s license; 3-year clean MVR with no DUIs.
• Background & drug screen clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Perform commercial tire and wheel replacements and installations.
• Dismount wheels and use lug wrenches and hand/power tools.
• Repair, balance, rotate, mount, and replace tires/wheels.

What You Need:

• Ability to pass a background & drug screen
• 6 months commercial tire experience required
• Valid driver’s license
• 3-yr Clean MVR; No DUIs & no more than 2 moving violations

What You’ll Do:

• Commit to continual improvement, training & professional growth
• Perform commercial tire and wheel replacements and installations
• Dismount wheels using lug wrenches and other hand and power tools
• Repair, balance, rotate, mount, and replacement of commercial tires/wheels
• Service calls as scheduled by service manager
• Keep service vehicle fully stocked
• Preventative maintenance of the service veh – daily inspection, oil changes, etc.
• Perform basic facility maintenance, shop clean up, and organization
• Other essential and non-essential duties as assigned by management

Outside Service Technicians are compensated through a combination of hourly pay, daytime service commission, and night/weekend service commission. The listed range represents an estimated total of all compensation sources, listed as an hourly rate. Variables include relevant experience, certifications, geographic location, and willingness to participate in after-hours/on-call programs.

DRUG TESTING

Purcell Tire tests for the presence of THC in all drug screenings for this position, due to the safety-sensitive nature of the job and the potential for injury or death when a tire is installed improperly or a safety-related mechanical issue is not properly conveyed to a customer. It is a bona fide occupational qualification for service technicians to be unimpaired, so the Company will continue testing for THC and other drugs under the safety-sensitive exceptions allowed by your state.
