Job summary

Purcell Tire and Service Centers is seeking a full-time General Service Technician to join our Fernley, NV team. You will perform automotive maintenance, pull vehicles in and out of the shop, and ensure quality service the first time. The role offers hourly pay, service commissions, and opportunities for advancement.

We provide paid training, benefits, and a comprehensive package including health, dental, vision, PTO after 90 days, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Background check & drug screen required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• 3-year clean MVR with no DUIs.
• 1 year related work experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pull customer vehicles in and out of the shop.
• Perform vehicle inspections and basic maintenance repairs.
• Perform Lube/Oil services; inspect, fill or change oil, replace filters, grease fittings.
• Perform tire maintenance; mount, balance, rotate, repair & replace tires/wheels.
• Replace air, oil, cabin, and fuel filters.
• Pickup and delivery of parts, tires, and customers.
• Look for opportunities to improve our products & services.
• Other essential and non-essential duties as assigned by management.

• Service Technicians are compensated through a combination of hourly pay and service commissions. The listed range represents an estimated total of all compensation sources, listed as an hourly rate. Variables include relevant experience, certifications, and geographic location.
• This position is considered “safety-sensitive” for purposes of Assembly Bill 132, as impairment while working in this position presents a substantial risk of death for the employee. Because this position serves customers and services customer vehicles, impairment while working in this position also presents a substantial risk of death for the customer. As such, final candidates for this position will be screened for the presence of non-psychoactive cannabis metabolites and offers of employment will be rescinded if said screening nets a positive result.
