Job summary

Purcell Tire Company in Reno, NV is seeking a full-time General Service Technician to deliver Safe, Quality Work on Time the First Time. You will pull vehicles, handle parts delivery, and perform inspections and basic maintenance with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

This position includes paid training, progressive pay increases, commissions, and a comprehensive benefits package, along with PTO after 90 days and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass pre-employment background & drug screen
• Valid driver’s license
• 3-yr Clean MVR with no DUIs
• 1 yr related work experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Pull customer vehicles in and out of the shop
• Pick-up & delivery of parts, tires, and customers
• Perform vehicle inspections & basic maintenance repairs
• Perform Lube/Oil services; inspect, fill or change oil, replace filters, grease fittings
• Perform tire maintenance; mount, balance, rotate, repair & replace tires/wheels
• Replace air, oil, cabin, and fuel filters
• Look for opportunities to improve our products & services
• Other essential and non-essential duties as assigned by management

Purcell Tire tests for the presence of THC in all drug screenings for this position, due to the safety-sensitive nature of the job and the potential for injury or death when a tire is installed improperly, or a safety-related mechanical issue is not properly conveyed to a customer. It is a bona fide occupational qualification for service technicians to be unimpaired, so the Company will continue testing for THC and other drugs under the safety-sensitive exceptions allowed by your state.
