Job Description

The General Service Technician is responsible for providing quality service and vehicle repairs in a timely manner. This role supports the company mission and core values, contributing to the success of the team.

Primary Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Change oil and oil filters in cars and light trucks
• Install, repair, and rotate tires
• Inspect and top off engine fluids
• Lubricate frontend parts as needed
• Perform vehicle inspections for potential issues such as belts, hoses, brakes, etc.
• Move and operate customer vehicles into and out of service bays
• Maintain positive customer relationships
• Maintain positive and productive relationships with co-workers and management
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and functional
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Represent the organization professionally, projecting trust, honesty, and respect

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who:

• Possess a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Have one or more years of experience in basic car care (helpful but not necessary)
• Are customer-focused and team-oriented
• Are mechanically inclined
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Can pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
• Have effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Possess excellent customer service skills and a desire to build long-term relationships
• Are willing to work Saturdays

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, and bending
• Occasional exertion of 50-100 lbs of force, or frequent exertion of 10-25 lbs, or constant exertion of >10 lbs to move objects
