About The Role:
The General Service Technician role is a full-time or part-time hourly position, based on the needs of the business. The technician is responsible for performing basic routine vehicle repair and maintenance services according to company standards and manufacturer specifications. The role requires delivering exceptional 5-star service to guests by effectively communicating vehicle issues and solutions, while ensuring guest expectations for time and quality are met.
Responsibilities:
Perform basic vehicle services and repairs accurately and efficiently, following Monro standards.
Conduct tire services including wheel removal, balancing, patching/plug repairs, changing, mounting, installation, and TPMS service and repair.
Perform vehicle services such as lubrications, oil changes, basic maintenance (e.g., bulb, wiper blade, filter replacements), battery testing, and installations.
Complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection on every guest vehicle, identifying, documenting, and communicating additional needed services and repairs.
Assist in inventory management by pulling tires and parts, unloading, and stocking inventory.
Maintain the store in excellent condition, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for guests, in line with Monro standards.
Perform services in accordance with safety standards, including wheel torque, oil safety, and compliance procedures.
Test drive vehicles following Monro’s Road Test policy, using designated routes and observing traffic and safety laws.
Adhere to company policies, governmental standards, including environmental codes and ANSI/OSHA standards, and use all safety equipment and procedures.
Maintain technical knowledge through timely completion of Monro University training courses and modules.
Operate and maintain equipment safely, including lifts, welders, brake lathes, etc., following manufacturer guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned and required.
