Summary

A General Service Technician exemplifies professional integrity, teamwork skills, basic automotive industry knowledge, diagnostic and repair skills, utilization of modern tools and technology, a willingness to learn, and a passion for delivering quality work and exceptional customer service while supporting daily operations.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
  1. Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid flushes, and filter replacements.
  2. Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, maintenance, or safety issues.
  3. Complete repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently and accurately.
  4. Utilize diagnostic equipment, manuals, and computerized systems for troubleshooting automotive problems.
  5. Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
  6. Perform quality control checks and test drives to verify repairs.
  7. Report safety concerns, accidents, or service issues beyond initial scope to management.
  8. Follow proper procedures for test drives, safety, and traffic laws.
  9. Maintain accurate inspection records and communicate service needs effectively.
  10. Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs and estimates.
  11. Provide excellent customer service, maintaining professionalism and courtesy.
  12. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
  13. Follow workplace safety policies and promote a safe work environment.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with OSHA regulations.
  15. Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements.
